One Breast Implant Problem That Women Seldom Consider

Breast implants are now a generally accepted and popular cosmetic surgery process. But while breast enlargement may have become even more accepted and readily available, that doesn’t mean to say that they are not without their drawbacks.
There are a number of issues that may occur following breast implant surgery, a lot of them leaving the woman looking and feeling worse than before the operation ,, which is ironic when one considers that the main reason a woman chooses to have breast enhancement is so that she will look and feel better about herself. One of the problems with breast implants that women don’t take into consideration beforehand is capsular contraction.
This is one of the most common issues that women experience following a breast implant operation. The body generally forms scar tissue around any foreign body. This tissue, or lining is referred to as a capsule and is generally thin, soft and flexible, so you won’t even be conscious of it to start with. In some women, though, this lining can become firmer and contracts, squeezing the implant. This will cause shape changes in your breast, discomfort, and eventually hardness and pain as it becomes more squashed.
Nobody know why this happens, but it is assumed that it may result from a micro-infection round the implant. About 5% of women who have this surgery will get some level of contracture.
The issue is treated with a capsulectomy, where the capsule is surgically cut out and the implant replaced, or a capsulotomy, where the capsule is opened and freed up and the implant replaced. Either way, you’ll need surgery to correct that issue. Surgeons used to do closed capsulotomies, where they tried to break down the capsule without doing surgery, although it was not really successful and often led straight to the implant bursting.
Breast augmentation surgery, like any surgery, has it’s risks. Although it may produce great looking results in a very short space of time, women should also think about non surgical breast enhancement before making a commitment to potentially dangerous surgery.
