Preventing Women’s Hair Loss With Proper Hair Care
Do you think there’s any possibility of totally preventing hair loss often seen in women solely through proper hair care practices? Unfortunately no, that’s not usually possible. The main culprit is usually inherited, or genetic in origin, although there are certainly cases where there is some kind of chemical imbalance. However, sometimes scalp conditions can cause it as well as environmental influences. This is just one of the reasons it is important to practice proper hair care. Another reason to be vigilant with your hair care is that healthy follicles are less likely to succumb to internal issues than unhealthy follicles. We’d now like to offer some excellent suggestions for keeping your scalp and hair healthy.
To our surprise, we found that when your hair is wet it’s more fragile, so it’s important to do a thorough job of drying it. If you ever wring water from your hair, you’re inadvertantly damaging your hair – so it’s important to avoid doing that. If your hair is long, avoid the temptation only because you’re inducing unnecessary damage. You’ll be breaking your hair, and we know you don’t want to do that. Plus, you can be loosening follicles and even pulling out hair without being aware of it. So what you want to do is use a towel to pat-down your hair, or gently squeeze the water out. Then let air take over and dry it. After all, you don’t want to speed up the process of women’s hair loss, right?
Switching your brands of shampoo and conditioner a lot is not a good idea, either. It is understandable to change shampoos for whatever reasons. Believe it or not but it can cause stress to your hair, plus your scalp, for many different reasons.
It’s far better to find a routine of one brand and stick to that for as long as possible. You probably know what works well for you, so just use that. Use that brand and don’t switch off for a couple of months, at least. If you change to another brand in less time you’ll just be causing a lot of stress to your hair and scalp.
This may be obvious, but we’ll say it anyway – be sure to comb your hair each day. Of course some women will never get a comb through their hair, so then just brush it every day. Should your hair develop mats, then oil could eventually clog your scalp, or follicles. So many women have dreadlocks, and they are terrible for the scalp and hair for this very reason. There are lots of reasons to practice proper hair care, even if you are not trying to prevent women’s hair loss. The simple truth is that good hair care leads to healthy hair and a healthy scalp. You are less likely to suffer from hair loss when your scalp is in optimal health. Therefore, it’s worthwhile to take good care of your hair and scalp every day. It only takes a few minutes each day. It won’t take you very much time to practice all of these tactics.
