A vaginal discharge that is considered normal can still change in color and consistency. It could be that you are ovulating, pregnant, or breastfeeding. Any change in the pH level of your vagina will upset the balance and could result in a discharge change. Scented soaps, deodorants and other feminine products can all cause pH changes.
A white vaginal discharge can mean that there is a yeast or bacterialinfection present. Not every women will have the same symptoms. It can be thin or thick, but normally always white in color. If its BV your suffering the discharge will be mainly white but could be yellow
Its it easy to tell how bad the discharge is by the color and smell. A white discharge can either be thick or thin. If it is thin and barely white, it is probably a mild infection and can be cleared up quickly. If the discharge appears like cottage cheese then you may have a yeast infection.
