Vaginal Itch Facts

Whether the vagina is only a “titchy itchy” it can still mean something is not right. Nonetheless the itch does not have to be something of a serious nature either. A vaginal itch can be caused by straightforward things like being allergic to the material of your underclothes or that your jeans maybe too tight. If the itch be one which has you forcibly clawing away at the skin near to ripping the flesh, and you know the cause is not that of cloth or tightness then you will have to have yourself checked over by your GP? Vaginal itching isn't atypical nor are the explanations for the itch occurring and that being more times than not an infection.

Most common vaginal infection that includes itching and burning is thrush. It also causes the vagina/vulva to swell with tenderness.

Thrush is referred to as thrush or candidiasis which is an overgrowth of yeast that brings a spread of unpleasant symptoms. Though the infection can be dealt with, it is known to come back, if this be the case in your case then seek medical help as it might be something more serious. We have yeast in our bodies and if grows out of control, then thrush is generally the result.

All genders young and old carry yeast in and on their bodies without any issues. Yeast is notably known living in the intestines, vagina, mouth and skin. This can not sound healthy but the body has ‘friendly ‘ bacteria which help in keeping yeast levels low.

Soreness, swelling and rosiness are primary symptoms if fragile tissue of the vagina is infected. Thrush not only causes a stinging sensation when peeing but is unpleasant too. The sting is due to inflamed tissues in the vagina. It is distressing to have sex, sexual intercourse shouldn't even be considered until the infection is cleared. Movement i.e. Sitting and walking can as you agony. All women have a vaginal leaking and know what the standard is, but if thrush is present it can show up white and thick (not all the time) with a powerful hint of yeast and like yoghurt to have a look at. It could also be watery with a light smell. Yeast prospers in warm, clammy locations with low astringency and an adequate supply of sugar.
