You And Your First Trimester
If you are a first time mom the first trimester of pregnancy can be fun and scary at the same time. The problem with most first time moms they don’t know what to do and what to look out for, such as black box warnings on medication like Paxil, once you know small things like this, then you should be able to get through it with no problem.
Now one of the first things you will notice is that your breasts will begin to enlarge and become tender. This symptom is caused by the body preparing itself for breastfeeding the baby when it comes out, milk deposits are starting to form in your breasts and nipples will begin to swell. One of the best ways in helping with this is wearing a supportive bra with an easily adjustable strap The bra will help keep the pressure of the breasts and nipples and will prevent your breasts from stretching and sagging.
Another very common symptom of pregnancy during the first trimester of pregnancy is morning sickness. Some of the factors that can contribute to morning sickness include: the increased levels of hCG and estrogen, the rapid stretching of the uterine muscles, the relaxation of muscles in the digestive tract, an increase in acid in the stomach and the enhanced sense of smell. Perhaps the worst part of morning sickness is that it sometimes doesn’t even happen in the morning and has been known to last the entire day. There are many theories on how to coupe with morning sickness, in the end each pregnancy is different and what works for some many not work for others so you will need to find out what works best for you.
Another well known part of the first trimester and the entire pregnancy is frequent urination. The reason for why this happens is because the uterus is growing and begins to press on your bladder, causing the need for you to urinate more frequently. The pressure on your bladder is often relieved once the uterus rises into the abdominal cavity around the fourth month and doesn’t return until the third trimester when the baby “drops” back down into the pelvis in the ninth month. Leaning forward when you urinate can help with this, as you will ensure that you empty your bladder completely and reduce trips to the bathroom.
By knowing what to do about the changes in your body and what to avoid during your first trimester of Pregnancy will help you avoid things that can hurt your baby like Paxil Birth Defects. To know more about you and your pregnancy visit with your doctor as soon as you can.
